Since its founding earlier this year, the College of Computing at GVSU has been dedicated to building strong partnerships industry and the community. We pride ourselves on always questioning the status quo and innovating to better serve our students. Through initiatives to modernize our curriculum and engage in cutting-edge research, we are committed to finding new ways to lead in the field of computing.
In July 2024, we began developing a five-year strategic plan for the new College of Computing, aligned with the university’s Reach Higher vision. This plan will guide our efforts in three key areas, identified by our faculty, staff, and the community:

This year’s Computing Lakers Innovation Day will highlight how we are driving the field forward—developing cutting-edge security solutions, fostering industry collaborations, and preparing the next generation of cybersecurity leaders.
